The history of the Ceramic Super Reds is quite straightforward. With the Bones Ceramic Super REDS, the steel balls of the Bones Super REDS have been replaced by high-quality Grade 5 ceramic balls isostatically pressed from hot silicon nitride.
Ceramic balls have less rolling resistance than steel balls and are therefore faster and roll longer - with or without lube! If dirt has accumulated in your Ceramic Bones Swiss, the ceramic balls will re-polish the steel grooves after cleaning until they are flat again. Ceramic balls offer this self-cleaning feature because they are much harder than steel. In addition, they also have a longer service life because they do not rust.
Ceramic Super REDS have a bone-colored shield with laser-engraved outer grooves for visual differentiation.
